A good traditional local in a 'desirable' village, with a healthy food trade but not overwhelmingly so. The bar has a quarry tiled floor and a nice fireplace. Adjoining rooms extending off some way to the side are all traditionally furnished and used largely by diners. A dartboard exists but is out of use and there is a simple garden to the rear. Ales on were TT Landlord and Ossett Yorkshire Blonde, in excellent condition. Food is home-made, very good, and proper pub food rather than gastro.
