The brown glazed tiled exterior heralds another heritage pub with a front tap room with a darts board,a side snug and a larger back lounge with decent sized tables leading to a shaded beer garden.Maybe slightly less charming inside than other nearby heritage pubs but that is made up for by the ale range on my trip of Ossett x Thornbridge Pale Ale,TT Boltmakers,Five Points 1995 Mild,Leeds Pale and Midnight Bell,Ossett Silver King,Saltaire Citra (NBSS 4) and Beartown Inception.A very decent range and mix of styles marks this as another pub that really should be visited on any crawl.

Not much that is worth adding to earlier reviews, but this continues to be a "must visit" drinkers' pub. Perhaps not quite as traditional as it used to be, but you are still guaranteed a good pint from the 8 or so on offer. Thankfully it is completely ignored by normal tourists, but does attract quite a few beerophiles.
