The Dog & Duck is a Beefeater found adjacent to a Premier inn, thus acting as its restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Inside the pub a drab bar is found at the front where some tables run under the front windows faced by a bar counter on the rear wall. Standard and premium keg was available alongside two hand pumps that were both badged with Sharp’s Doom Bar. In the rear is the restaurant area that is made up of smaller seating areas. The doors are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. I found this place to be thoroughly depressing, maybe it is more interesting on matchdays when Wellingborough Town FC are playing at home in the Dog & Duck Stadium at the rear.

The Dog and Duck is a decent sized roadside pub that is situated on a very busy road to the south of the town centre.
Once inside there was an L shaped room that was smaller than i thought it would be,the bar was to the rear left, the seating was normal tables and chairs, the room was carpeted.
There was a seperate room to the rear right which is now in use as a costa coffee outlet.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Wychwood Full Brazillian which went down very well, the other beer was London Pride.
There was background music playing and quite a few people having meals.
The pub was quite smart but it seemed more like an hotel bar than a proper pub.
