Strongers . left this review about The Peacock
The Peacock is an L-shaped pub with banquettes and benches down the right hand side and a bar counter to the left that faces rearwards where some long benches are found. Televisions are located throughout and a pool tables is found at the rear. The bar supports standard and premium keg. I went for a Guinness that was served in a John Smiths glass, a bit poor when I was the only customer. Weekend venue.

Mild Drinker left this review about The Peacock
This town centre pub has recently had a makeover and looks a lot smarter than it used to. Visited here on a Saturday evening and it was busy. Several large screens showing the football during my visit. Doom Bar was the only ale offering so I had a Guinness (£3.55). Lots of lagers on offer but nothing really for an ale drinker, hence the low score.
