Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Battlesteads

Attractive building in the local stone, housing a rectangular bar with dining area beyond. Traditional decor, comfortable furniture and carpeted bar floor. Accommodation. Beer garden to rear. Five handpumps, offering a fine choice of Black Sheep, Mordue Summer Tyne, Allendale Wagtail, Durham Magus and Hexhamshire Devil's Elbow (£3.30). Overall, well worth seeking out.

Large pub with restaurant lunchs and evening meals which they request that you make booking. Five real ales on handpull, the High House Farm Lizzies Dimples was excellent.
