Two room local. Unfortunately it's been subject to DIY refurbishment and it isn't the best - grey and blue whilst retaining battered old tables. Cold as well. Bar to the right is basic, rear not much better and looks like a part-converted skittles alley. Four pumps with six ales advertised. My Osset Excelsius had a gravity feel to it but was fair (NBSS 3) and the barmaid was friendly. But I didn’t warm to it - a lack of punters didn't help the cause either.

A two roomed pub of a traditional nature, it looked as though it had recently had a lick of paint and a tidy up. Another late night visit where I was beyond listing the beers but remember the selection being a little middle of the road, I had a Charnwood Salvation which was ok. A decent pub but not sure it would be first on my list of revisits.

On the face of it a great little pub, an unspoilt two-roomer with a good range of beers on. Somehow it didn't quite gel for me, at least on this visit, although I could see it rating higher in the right circumstances. Watch the opening hours.
