Alex Conway left this review about Yates's

Yates Nottingham just like every other Yates I have been in is a mecca for the drunken chavs and chavettes from the deepest darkest corners of the city. I personally do not mind this fact as it means the scrotes are kept away from the bars and pubs that civilised humans beings prefer to drink in. However in an unfortunate turn of events on a recent pub crawl the flashing lights and neck tattoos must have been all to appealing for some members of the group as we decided to pay a flying visit before moving on to another pub. Fortunately it was only early evening so the professional dick heads were yet to get out of bed which gave some respite but the place was still swarming with semi pros. The defining loud chart music was blasting out with flashing lights and the dance floor was full of staggering morons. Being one of the original Yates Wine Lodges it is architecturally much better than some of its counterparts with huge high ceilings and a second floor balcony overlooking the dancefloor with lots of original features. The sheer noise from the sound system and general ambience of the place voids all noticeable features. Cheap lager and shots deals are the main thing in here but there are three hand pulls which on my visit were Pedigree (turned around) Bombardier (turned around ) and Plumb porter that my friend had and said was the worst pint of it he’d ever had. Based on his recommendation I opted for a crap pint of bitter old Guinness served in a personal hatred of mine a plastic cup. This really is a pit of a drinking den and if the clientele in here are the future of Britain god help us all. don’t go here, not even for the comedic value.

Al Bundy left this review about Yates's Wine Lodge

A 2 floored Yates's and all that goes with those pubs. I only went in the ground floor bit and here the bar had 3 real ales on. Pedigree, GK IPA and Bombardier on on my visit. If you've been in any Yates's before then you'll find nothing different here.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Yates's Wine Lodge

Very different from its origins as one of the original Yates's Wine Lodges. The interior balcony is still there, with its own small bar and a rear lounge area, but the furniture and decor are all anonymous pubco stuff now. The narrow front terrace overlooking the Old Market Square still provides a decent vista in good weather, though. Just Pedigree (only £2.10, but not in the best condition) from three hand pumps, with reversed clips for Pride and Greene King IPA also noted.
