A decent looking pub from the outside, inside is a single square room, high ceiling, wood floor with a tiled area surrounding the bar, seating is a mix of high and low but otherwise normal. There is more seating upstairs but just a small room furnished as if someones sitting room. They seem to have added a handpump since Wills review below, now there's five offering mostly nationally available beers, Adnams Ghost Ship, St Austell Tribute, Taylors Landlord, Bass plus a Rugby themed beer that I couldn't make out who brewed it.
An OK stop off while waiting on a train but the beer selection is not likely to entice me back.

I'd passed this corner pub earlier in the day with barely a glance, but on my way to the station with a bit of time to spare due to a cancellation, I took a more careful look and decided to give it a go. It's quite small, with a bar in the far corner. This could easily have been a fairly gloomy space, but in fact I was impressed by how bright, airy and welcoming this pub was. There are four hand pumps on the bar (see photo) and I went for the St Austell Tribute, which was in very good condition.
