There are plenty of food-oriented pubs north of Oxford, and with The Butchers Arms serving the drinkers, The White Horse focusses on the former in this village on the outskirts of Banbury. The restaurant area filled with diners on a February Sunday, there was at least a decent-enough area for drinkers in front and to the left of the bar. Of three handpulls, two were dispensing Brakspear Bitter and Cumberland Ale with the third unused. A little too sterile perhaps pub-wise, although the affable staff were a boon on the service front.
