Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Coach

Formerly the Comet, once the name of a coaching service along the turnpike between Shrewsbury and Whitchurch. You can tell that this is an old pub because it is set well below the current road level (which must have been raised a century or two ago to get over the former canal branch leading into the town centre). The main bar area is extended at one end with a darts area, but on the evening I visited several tables were in use for dominoes. Another room can be found on the other side of the entrance, and this houses the pool table that was also busy. No real ale, unfortunately, so I settled for a M&B Brew XI (£3.10, and served in the right glass, which is a first in recent times for me).

love this pub my kids are always made welcome has recently been decorated inside and out owner and staff are all freindly and a very nice pint i may add xx
