The Regent is a large 30s built pub that is situated away from the middle of Fenton at the bottom of smithpool road.
I dont like the look of these type of pubs and i am usually right about my doubts.
Once inside the pub had two very large rooms, the bar to the right was out of use so i went in the lounge to the left, this was a very large room that ran back quite a way,the front area was in darkness because there was a large screen in the bay window showing the Fulham v Stoke game to a grand audiance of three.
The seating was leather buttoned bench type, the front area was bare boarded and the rear carpeted.
There were two pumps on the bar with both clips turned round, when i asked for a half of bitter the landlord said do you want Wadworth 6X,so i did'nt understand why the clips were turned round, this was a decent enough drink.
The pub was freezing cold inside and lacked any atmosphere even with the football game being on.
I did'nt enjoy my visit to this pub at all.
