Old Sams is a pretty plain looking pub situated just off the town centre.
Once inside there is an L shaped room to the front the room is carpeted,there are a few chesterfield settes to the front right plus some leather bucket chairs,there is also a TV in this area showning the Aston Villa v Newcastle game.
There is a slight raised area to the front left which had normal tables and chairs,there is a larger room to the rear which was not in use on my Saturday dinner visit.
There was one real ale on the bar which was Bass,this was a decent enough drink.
Not really my sort of pub but ok for a quick drink.
