Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Alderman

Very basic estate pub, with the front doors part boarded up and one of two bars in total darkness. The other, 'L'-shaped bar features a pool table (which appears to be the main draw) but limited furniture and decor. Loud music. No real ale, so it was a very quick half of Guinness (£1.45) and I headed elsewhere as you couldn't call the atmosphere comfortable at all. Overall, with its huge but deserted car park, I can't see it staying out of the hands of a housebuilder for very long. (NB - Review dates from September 2012.)
