Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Amato
Upmarket pub / restaurant in a quiet side-street location a short walk out from the centre of town. For some reason, it sits high above road level so there is a half-flight of steps up to the main entrance so not sure whether there is level access available elsewhere. The bar, front seating area and rear dining rooms are all tastefully furnished with racing-themed decoration. I found Shere Drop from Surrey Hills (£4.35) and Westerham Bulldog being dispensed from two of the three handpumps.

A large L shaped room with the bar on the end wall facing the entrance. Another room behind the bar marked as a dining area is very small and looked unused. This is another pub named after a previous Derby winner, 1838 in this instance. The black beams are covered in scores of horseshoes, each with the relevant year's winner named underneath. Decor is mainly of the equine variety with pictures, bits of bridles etc around the walls.
The room has a comfortable feel, carpeted with white roughcast walls, traditional seating. There is a real fireplace on the end wall. Busy Sunday afternoon with lots of groups eating Sunday lunch together with people watching the World Cup on the large plasma TV. Other groups and families were enjoying the expansive well tended pub garden.
There is a dartboard but not usable with tables set in front.
Harveys Sussex Best, Pride and Youngs Ordinary on offer.

A pub that looks better from the outside than it does on the inside. Single bar with a side drinking area. Although it has up to 3 real ales on it lacks atmosphere and would only appear to attract locals
