A glorious-looking pub from the outside but the interior has been rather messed about with. The main side is in a small Victorian hall with an open fire which could be lovely but just doesn't feel right, with cluttered furnishings and decor. The other side seems to act as a function room and houses the Sunday carvery, but wasn't being used on a weekday. The biggest disappointment however was the solitary handpump displaying a Hobgoblin IPA clip, but on closer inspection also the dreaded "Brewery Conditioned" badge, and sure enough it did not taste how it should. Should the 'real ale' tag be removed?
