In 2004, two Americans, George and Barbara, got off the boat from Ireland, and were attempting to walk (with full luggage) 6 miles to the ship back home. About the time they were on their last legs, they passed by the Iron Horse - the owner and employees came running out, took them into the pub, put a drink in front of them, made them feel welcome and called for help. We've traveled around the world, and this was one of the kindest moments that we remember. Oh, yes - the food was excellent as well! Hat's off and gratitude to the Iron Horse - we've been trying to find you for years! Best wishes, and high recommendations to all potential patrons - hope we'll get back to see you again - but we'll take the bus next time.
