The Rising sun Has had its ups and downs over the past years but recently it is certainly enjoying one of its ups!
The pub gained a poor reputation a while back when it was under bad management, failure to keep hygene standards, bad atmosphere, uneventfull evenings and more turned people away. Since its new ownership the pub has completely turned around with some very positive feedback from its regulars. Much of the pub has been changed, painted, stripped, remade and cleaned. A big turn around at the beginning of the take over and many more little improvements along the way has made this pub a welcoming heart of stanford. The pub garden is a joy to sit in on those hot summer days and the pub even boasts a small pub restaurant with appetizing dishes.
The landlord strives to keep his punters entertained with regular entertainment acts, festive events and barbeques.
The service is great with a well designed layout and hard working staff that make sure no one is left gasping for a drink.
Overall, I would say that although one of the smaller pubs in Stanford this pub certainly has the biggest pride in what it does.
