This former pub has been demolished. The site clearance was pretty much complete when I was passing by a few days ago. There was nothing to indicate what was going to replace it.

Appears to be more of a cafe than a bar, with opening hours of 10am to 4pm daily, but closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Alcoholic beverages available, but it remains to be seen whether these are served without a food purchase.

Newly re-opened pub on the hill as you are going out of the village, bit of a walk up a steep hill. 4 pumps with regional real ales kept in first class condition, Hawkshead beers were especially nice. The staff are really friendly and the accommodation is to a high standard.
