This is a smaller Spoons in what looked like a smaller town. Inside it's a roughly square room with a lower area to the front on one side and the bar at the rear.
This had just six hand pumps which had three available soon, Spitfire, Abbot and Brain's SA. I found this pathetic choice unappealing so asked for a bottle of Green Devil which it transpired they didn't have. By the time it turned out that they had no Devil's Backbone either I was losing the will to live and ended up with a pint of Abbot (£2.09). It was only the fact that it was in good nick that saves this one from the Score Of Shame.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Wishaw Malt (JD Wetherspoon)
Rather inconspicuous on the approach, and in neither of the buildings on the opposite side of the road that first catch your eye - a large theatre now a Mecca bingo hall and an oriental-looking former cinema now am Italian restaurant. Anyway, it features a single-storey frontage (with the benefit of large windows) leading back to a taller part of the building housing the bar counter. Light modern decor with some sculpted panels on one wall of the slightly lower side seating / dining area and some interesting local history displays. Four of six handpumps in operation, but a few interesting choices including the Drygate Reflex 4.2% red ale (£2.09).
