Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Hengler's Circus (JD Wetherspoon)
Fairly standard 'L'-shaped bar, with usual 'spoons furniture and décor. However, it does usually have a good choice of beers from Scottish breweries from the 12 handpumps, although I opted for the standard Belhaven 80/- in the end this time because I hadn't had it for years. As before, I found the place well staffed, with no real wait for service even on a Friday evening.

Hengler's Circus is an L-shaped Wetherspoons with a central L-shaped serving counter that supports 14 hand pumps, twelve of which were in operation drawing Belhaven 80 Shilling, Doom Bar, GK Abbot Ale, Williams Bros Brewing’s Joker IPA, Stewart’s 80 Shilling, Purity Brewing’s Mad Goose and Spey Valley’s Spey Stout. Raised seating and high tables are found at the front and a sea of standard furniture runs up the left, although this is a relatively small Spoons. All the staff were thoroughly miserable in this unremarkable JDW.

This corner 'spoons on Sauchiehall Street looks attractive from the outside but that the highlight.The interior is a sea of pine,cheap furniture and a raised section to the right but everything looks worn.The L shaped bar does contain 14 handpumps split over three banks ,and the guest beers tend to sit on the rightmost bank but the choice on my trip was a series of low ABV bitters and pales from undistiguished brewers ,not helped by the 'spoons beer festival which tends to specialise in these poor brews.There are decent ale brewers in Scotland and none appeared here.
It's in the GBG but that seems a triumph of quantity over quality,a commom mistake by local CAMRA branches.
A poor 'spoons despite keen and attentive staff,there's no need to visit.
