A branch of Wetherspoon's which opens daily at 8am, but where alcohol is not served until 11am. We'd already tried the First Edition just up the road and found that they did not serve alcohol until 11 either. I'm not sure if this is a local council rule or a rule valid across Scotland. Either way, it was unsurprisingly fairly quiet when we arrived shortly after 10am. There were a handful of other folk enjoying breakfasts and lots of staff available to take tea, coffee and soft drink orders.

For the record, the usual Wetherspoon's trio of Greene King Abbot, Ruddles Best & Sharp's Doom Bar were all on. Guest beers were Wychwood Hobgoblin Ruby, Theakston Old Peculier, Titanic Plum Porter & Inveralmond Ossian. I didn't notice any real cider, but noticed that Weston's Rosie's Pig was available to purchase on their app.

Unsurprisingly, as the clock ticked past 11am, quite a few more customers arrived and there was an inevitable queue to be served when the time finally came.

This is quite a large pub stretching from a main shopping street (Portland Street) to Croft Street at the rear. Entering from Portland Street, there is a raised area of seating off to the right, with the bar against a wall midway through the pub. Seating continues off to the rear left-hand side of the bar, with outdoor tables on Croft Street at the very rear. Toilets are on the ground floor, with the ladies front left and the gents rear right-hand sides.
