Right by the station. Busy and buzzing, with friendly staff. Just the two guest ales but the quality of my Glamorgan Welsh Pale easily justified its GBG entry (NBSS 3.5) and just £1.91 with a Timbo Token as well. Admittedly the interior is not up to much, a bit gloomy with exposed industrial ducting, though the backlit portholes behind the bar are of passing intrigue. Another signed family area, must be a strange regional quirk. 6.5

Another Spoons with a nice frontage hiding a large hall behind, in this case with an overpowering dark-painted high ceiling festooned with the hated industrial ducting and some strange flying triangles, presumably to deaden the echoes. Still a bit short on the beer front, with just two Welsh ales alongside the usual suspects, but otherwise pleasant enough. Note it has live music on occasions, hence still a Lloyds No 1.

The Tumble Inn is actually a Lloyds No 1 but apart from having BT Sport and a sign on the mirror behind the bar lacks the usual tell tale signs. I would think that the Lloyds disaster area is the raised part at the back but I couldn't see an idiot booth. The pub consists of a rectangular shed like building with exposed aircon ducts and fairly typical furnishings.
There are two sets of five hand pumps which had the JDW Trio Of Doom & Cold Black Crib Goch doubled up, a cider and Boss Blaze. I went for the Crib Goch beer which was excellent (Crib Goch is a striking mountain in the Snowdon group of N Wales peaks).
This is one of the less obvious Lloyds outlets. Unless you are here late on Friday or Saturday or when the Rugby is on it's just like any other JDW. I thought it was OK.
