Rob Hunter left this review about The Silly Goose
Visited earlier this month. My first time in this pub despite holidaying in Dawlish Warren quite regularly. At the bar were two hand pumps offering Doom Bar and (on a hand written label) Hobgoblin Gold. Wolf Rock IPA was available on keg, along with Thatchers Haze. They also had a box of Old Rosie at 6.8%. I was tempted by this but for an afternoon pint could have been a mistake, so settled for the Haze which was rather nice.
It's pleasant enough inside if a little chilly. There is a section of high tables in front of the bar and a separate open area with dining tables arranged in canteen style. Plenty of bare wood, with wood floor and beams.
There is a large beer garden outside and a play area.
The pub could do with some tables inside for more than four people and perhaps some cosy seating areas to make it a bit more relaxing, though I suspect most of the pub's trade comes from the beer garden in the warmer months.
