This is a mid-19th century pub, formerly Taylor Walker as evinced by the gold gun carriage within an arch atop the pub sign.
This is in effect a pub, with a separate B & B run by a third party (now £76.50 a night). There’s pretty much no remaining heritage aside from a little etched glass to the left-hand door, then leaded stained-glass lights to the clerestories. The floor is herringbone parquet, the colour scheme turquoise to the rear snug then white, with a silver painted bar back and interesting patterned zinc bar top. Furniture is mixed though mainly conventional, with a fawn studded banquette. Décor is minimal: the odd plant, a collection of weird mirrors and a life-size wooden statue of an American First Nation man in headdress. There were few customers at the time of my Thursday visit nearing 10.00pm: a solitary man in an armchair reading a book to the rear, a couple playing backgammon and a pair at the bar having an animated conversation with the barman.
There’s no cask, then an extremely basic keg lineup featuring just Sharp’s Cider, Coors and [Extra Cold] Guinness, £3.00 a half, served by a friendly and engaging barman.
This place is ok for what it is and a decent cask choice would get the score up to average; it’s certainly better than the hollow Crown up the road.
Rated 4.5.

I visited here on Sunday evening and have to say that it was one of the busier establishments in the area, but it was still lacking atmosphere as it has recently been refurbished to resemble a hotel bar. This is not surprising as the building is actually a hotel with rooms available from £45 a night. There is a real ale pump that was drawing Old Speckled Hen and a selection of standard and premium draught products are also available. I found the service to be polite and the Guinness was the best I had on a very disappointing crawl of Cricklewood. There is a happy hour(s) from 16:00 until 19:00 on Mondays to Fridays where the cocktails are two for one. Sky sports is shown and there is a plasma screen in the bar area as well as in the nice sized garden that has a shelter at the rear that is adorned with fairy lights.
This is not the cheapest place in the area, but I found it to be one of the better ones even though I wouldn’t go out of my way to drink here again.

No, I'm not a member of staff, nor a friend of the owner,I'm only a regular customer who pays good money for great food & excellent beer - and why not - I'm really lucky to have such a great local pub practically on my doorstep.
