Suburban Spoons with the usual long and deep interior, so artificial light only at the rear. Pretty reasonable given the area and in good order. Timbo's spin on the Cannon & Ball (there's no way he uses Farrow & Ball) colour chart is fine. Three guest ales and my Hanlons Dark was fair (NBSS 3). 6.5

A respectable Spoons that was very busy on our Saturday eve visit. Majority of the customers were having a bite to eat, along with us. So with my meal I had a decent pint of Eagle Brewery Phallarax IPA and another one after. The interior had a colour scheme of red and petrol blue painted walls. We took a table at the back of the pub, which was down a couple of steps. The service was fast and efficient at the bar and food served to the table. The bus stop opposite was another added bonus to get us back into Southampton, which was quicker than getting a train and cheaper.

Long rectangular 'Spoons in older style, which I found slightly above average and certainly quite pleasant for the area. A reasonable selection of beers on this visit, with a couple of local brews and a couple of interesting others alongside the regulars.
