Housed in a wavy-roofed building, this large 'L'-shaped bar with a slightly raised section is (unsurprisingly, given its location) rather more modern in appearance than most. It also benefits from a fair amount of window space and a reasonably high ceiling. Partly covered patio seating available on the side terrace. Nine different cask beers from the two banks of six handpumps on this visit, including the local Don't Stop Me Now kolsch pale ale from the local Hornes Brewery (£2.10).

Light & airy modern build, making it a fine daytime stop off for the good range of beers.

I'm basing my assessment of this Spoons on the fact that it is in Milton Keynes, a place where the town planners and architects were smashed on drink and drugs when they came up with their ideas for this god-forsaken dump.
This was by far the best of the four Spoons in Milton Keynes on my morning visit and that's entirely down to the decent selection of beers. My local converted furniture shop is traditional and welcoming compared to this glass and steel structure. Inside it is one huge room with fairly typical Spoons furnishings.
Even at 10:00 in the morning the service was poor mainly because one of the local offices was apparently using it as a takeaway.
There were two banks of six pumps with nothing "available soon" or doubled up and ignoring the two GK beers and Doom Bore (always advisable) there was Oakham Inferno, Tring Colleys Dog, Spitfire, Snecklifter, Hawkshead Red, Purity Mad Goose, Nottingham Supreme Bitter, Tring Kotoku and Red Squirrel London Porter.
I went for the Nottingham Supreme Bitter (£2.50) which was a very good beer in superb nick.
This is the closest Spoons to MK Central Station so is well worth diving in for a quick one or coming to when one of the Spoons festivals is on.
According to the Spoons web site it is open for 24 hours on Thursday!
