The Woodland is a Sizzling pub that was busy with a young families during a recent Thursday evening visit. The long serving counter that runs along the rear wall faces the entrance that is sandwiched between split level seating. To the left is a pool table and televisions are found throughout for airing Sky and TNT Sports. Out the back is a conservatory that overlooks a bowling green. Live music seems to be held here on the last Saturday of each month. These places are good if you’re after a cheap grill and a pint of lager, and if you don’t mind fighting your way through a sea of pushchairs that these days seem to have lost the ability to be collapsed down.
