Staying up the road in a Premier Inn the Editor’s Draft was the first pub I came across that was showing Friday night football. The bar counter runs up the right-hand wall facing some high tables and at the rear some open plan seating is overlooked by the televisions. The football was muted in favour of mainly 90s back music. In the front left is a raised area with booths, I didn’t venture upstairs. There are six craft keg taps on the back bar, but only five actually work. Premium keg was also available alongside Beavertown’s Neck Oil. The four hand pumps were drawing TT Landlord, Acorn Brewery’s Blonde (past its best), Great Newsome’s Sleck Dust and a very nice Milestone’s Honey Porter. I’d pop back in if passing.

Previously known as the Central (from its proximity to the former Leeds Central station, I presume) and the Wellington (it's on Wellington Street), this birthplace of Leeds Camra is now named in honour of its proximity to the site of the former offices of the Yorkshire Evening Post. There's no trace of any original layout of the pub building, the large space being divided or delineated by changes of level and furntiure rather than walls. The bar is on the right on entering and has four hand pumps, and numerous keg taps. I didn't make a note of the beers, but my half of Kirkstall Black Band was in very good condition.

Peculiar place with a student burger bar sort of feel, but somehow it works and is not a bad place for a drink, at least if not too busy. Ales on were Sleepy Badger and Blonde Bear from Little Critters, 3 Swords from Kirkstall and Dom bar, plus various craft on keg.
