Strongers . left this review about The Black Horse
The Black horse is an L-shaped pub with seating to the left of the entrance and a slightly raised seating area to the right where an old brick fireplace with log fire was popping away on the right-hand wall, I think this was for atmosphere rather than heat because it wasn’t particularly cold outside during my visit. An L-shaped serving counter runs up the right-hand wall; standard and premium keg was available alongside Landlord from one out of four hand pumps that was in use. At the rear is a pool table and dartboard and there was some background music playing from the likes of the Stones. The barman/governor was very flamboyant and friendly, so I was made to feel very welcome, it’s just a shame that there wasn’t an interesting ale to tuck into.

A comfortable pub next door to the Cider Shop. The bar is situated to the right on a raised level with more seating to the rear and comfortable seating along the front of the pub. Another well supported local serving Black Sheep and a Wells Bombardier.
