A good looking pub as described below, but sadly it's a Scream pub. Only 1 beer on the handpumps when I called in which was St Austell Tribute. I had a quick half which was in decent nick, but I didn't hang around as it was beginning to get busy with the night time crowd of teenagers.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Friary

Converted from a very substantial building, set back some distance from the road and featuring an imposing portico. Spacious, 'U'-shaped bar with semi-modern furniture and decor, a side room with four pool tables and a large rear patio beer garden. Standard Stonegate food menu. Also houses a Scream nightclub upstairs (not visited), and many of the mostly young customers were probably heading there in due course by the look of things. Only Bass (£3.20) available from two banks of three handpumps (with a pair of Blue Monkey beers very annoyingly 'available soon'), but at least this was better than the night before when I walked straight out after finding no real ale on at all.
