Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Dirty Cow
Formerly the Eden (and many other things), this is a modernised 'Bar & Lounge' that also offers food. Not visited previously, but I expect that some or all of this happened in a previous incarnation, but there are still plenty of different (small) seating and dining areas in the elongated and partly opened-out interior. Shuffleboard and interactive darts. Just Purity's Mad Goose (£5.50) available from the three handpumps, but finding any cask ale in a place like this is a bit of a plus.

Quite modern on the inside, this is a decent enough pub. 4 ales on during my visit. Not a bad place and I was glad I called in.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Scales
A traditional looking pub on the outside, but once through the doors you will find this to be very trendy pub. I would say that this pub had been recently refurbished as it was in tip top condition. The pub's layout consisted of an open plan room with lots of reclaimed timber cladding, colourful fabrics and feature walls in wallpaper, polished copper piping used for wall lamp fittings and a painted bar front.
The bar area was situated over on the right and had five ales on pump. The ale choice was all from Nationals so nothing over exciting there. The majority of the customers on this visit, had popped in for a coffee and a light lunch.
