Thought I knew all the pubs in the Jewellery Quarter but this was a first visit.
Formerly the George and Dragon, dating from 1820, its had a smart makeover inside and out and is a better than average inner city craft beer bar.
There were a couple of cask on - but on the hottest day of the year so far and few other punters at 4pm, I didnt trust that.
Instead, a good selection of craft - Pollys Petal chosen - at an slightly eye watering but I need to get over it £6.50.
Nice atmosphere and the place slowly filled up. With fun loving young teachers, clocking off for the weekend.

Interesting-looking pub beside Dayus Square, given quite a modern makeover externally, but (very) slightly more traditional inside than I expected. Remodelled to leave a narrow staple-shaped bar along the frontage, with various small seating / dining areas at each end. Ten (mostly crafty) taps on the main keg fount, plus a pair of handpumps - offering Wye Valley HPA and an excellent Babyface from the local Halton Turner (£4.00) - on one end of the counter.

Basically this is a pub transformed into a craft bar the atmosphere and decor was light and airy with the plain walls decorated with works of art, some of which were for sale. I chose an Attic Brew Intuition which was good while drinking partner Big Steve had a Wheat beer he reckons was excellent.
I would certainly look in again.
