Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Fox & Goose
Large brewer's Tudor roadhouse, albeit with dark red brick rather hiding the external timbering. Partly opened-out interior with a variety of seating (and lunch-time dining) areas. Refurbished with anonymous light-wood furniture and decor at some stage. Three disused handpumps, so opted for the keg Theakston's Mild (about £2.15) in preference to the inevitable John Smith's.

Nice to return to my stomping ground of the 80s. This is a detached c1920s style mock-Tudor rebuild of an earlier pub. It actually looks quite neat, with its brickwork, stone mullioned windows, projecting gables and chimney stacks. It has a patio area. The interior has a couple of rooms. The main bar/lounge is accessed through the corner door. t is in clay and cream, with carpet, and has a mix of old Brum photos on the walls, with some strange art. The larger room behind is a mix of dining room, pool room (4 tables on a raised area, and music venue (the raised area acts as a stage). This is in cream and has a wood floor in general, with a few bits of modern art on the walls. I didn't eat here so can't comment on that. There are lots of sport TVs and the music was general at a decent level. The service was friendly and a few locals were in. Beer; no real ale on (one unused handpull), with the usual tap stuff including Murphy's and Theaston's MILD - the MILD was fine. A place that has changed quite a lot. Happy i visited for old times sake, but nothing really to bring me back - one for the locals.
