This venue is over two floors with the Laughter House comedy club downstairs and the Slaughter House bar upstairs. Being a Monday afternoon, the comedy club was closed, but the wooden floored bar was open, although the staff outnumbered the customers by three to one. A serving counter runs up the right-hand wall where standard and premium keg products are available. In the centre of the room is a long and high stool encircled table that sits under the gaze of a projector screen on the rear wall and multiple televisions throughout that were airing muted Sky Sports News, which was a bit odd because every other pub with Sky in the area was showing the England cricket test match. Purple banquettes run up the left-hand wall and at the top of the stairs in the front left corner is a snug where the other two customers were sat. There was some background music playing and I noted a thin raised area along the rear wall that I expect doubles up as a live music stage at the weekend. The service was polite, but the lack of some decent draught means that I will walk past next time.
