The Denbigh Castle has a serving counter across the rear that supports five hand pumps that were drawing Kirkstall’s Bitter, Rat Brewery’s King Rat, Only with Love Brewery’s Skipper Transatlantic Ale, Oakham’s 3 in a Row and Lilley’s Peach Cider. While waiting to be served I noted lots of standing room in the centre of the pub and seating up the side walls, one of which is wallpapered and the other is exposed brick. Televisions were airing muted tennis via Sky Sports while some background music played and a deer head with hats on the antlers hangs from one of the walls. In the front right is a small room with banquettes. Worth a look.

A decent two room pub, five handpumps with four beers on plus a Seacider, my beer was Vanishing Point from North Brewing. The pub was a bit noisy and a little boisterous on my visit but could probably be expected on a Thursday night.

A simple one room bar with a smaller room at the front right, though there may be other rooms I have missed. There was a group of older men in before me, some of whose conversation was at quite a high volume, and I was keen to drink up and move on. My beer was not in as good condition as in the other GBG pubs nearby.
