There are loads of these places everywhere, cheap, cheerful, crap ale, karaoke, for mingebags only.

A small, narrow terrace bar, with a few tables outside in summer.

The interior has a small bar upon entry to the side, with an open room on two levels. The decor is red and white, with some black wallpaper - it looks tidy enough. Decoration encompasses a few mirrors and some modern arty pictures up the stairs. There is Sky TV. Music was charty stuff, service was fine and the clientele mixed, but several people make the place look half full! The place operates a no hoods, baseball cap etc policy - so some of the clientele were my age, when i would have expected younger.

Beer; no real ale, all tap stuff - i had a Guinness as, not a shock, there was no MILD. It was fine.

Not my kind of place, but i felt happy enough to stop for one. The lack of choice means i won't go back, but for those that like this kind of place, it's worth a try.
