A mock tudor street corner pub ,the name comes from the view of some roman baths if you descent the steps by the entrance,marked very clearly as a museum £4.50 entry and not the loos !.
The pub itself is a sports bar with multiple flatscreens which will air different sports at the same time. The horse racing screen seemed the most popular.Lots of high tables,large archways split up the interior but it's hectic and noisy.
Three handpumps,one reversed the others offering Marstons Wainwright and Rudgate Battleaxe so no reason to stay and frankly a pub I will avoid in future.

A peculiar pub which feels as though it was tarted up for tourists many moons ago but has now reverted to a locals' pub with a band of regulars. The interior is a strange mix of Roman, 1930s, 1950s and 1990s, with the Roman Bathhouse wall friezes still prominent (there is a museum in the cellar below, with admission charge). Food is mentioned in a couple of places online but was noticeable by its absence on a weekday lunchtime - perhaps it is only at certain times. Two handpumps offered TT Landlord and Boltmaker, in tolerable if not brilliant condition, otherwise just standard keg. Adequate, but there are much better pubs nearby.

A single roomed pub with murals of Roman bathers on the walls. 2 real ales and food served. Live music and karaoke advertised. Outside area had a serving hatch to the bar.
