This is now the new Snobs. No ale as you would expect - just the usual array of keg drinks. There is Hobgoblin Gold on keg but I settled for a bottle of Newcastle Brown. 2 for £7!

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Velvet Music Rooms

Big bar with a nominal Irish theme, featuring regular live music and large screens showing sports TV at other times. It can be quite loud and busy, but I visited at a quieter time. It is also unusual for Broad Street in having a narrow, covered terrace at the front that catches any evening sunshine. Two Galway craft beers - Hooker and the Nitro Stout (£4.00 before 20:00, more later) - as well as a couple from Beavertown, Guinness and various other keg offerings.
