A nice, large detached brick pub from, also from around the 1930s, next to the canal. The interior has two rooms, with large screen Sky TV, pool and darts, with plain walls and carpet. The music was at a decent level, but a bit toshy. Friendly enough service, the clientele was large and mixed. Beer; tap stuff, Hardys & Hansons MILD, Banks’s MILD and GK IPA, no handpull beer. Had the H&H MILD, which is nice, but always served so cold you cant fully appreciate it. Worth a visit, but for one.
