Soup Dragon left this review about Walsall Broadway
A large detached Toby Carvery. Modern, in brick and stone cladding and in cream and red, with large patio.
The interior is the usual Toby style, so open plan, with an eclectic colour scheme as well a choice of pictures and ephemera. The deco is in brick, white, red, terquoise, red wallpaper, amongst other colours, the pictures are cartoons, advert poseters, old photographs and film memorabilia amongst other stuff, which covers every scrap of wall. There are toby jugs and other bits and pieces around - it is mad and fun. The service was fine, the clientele mixed and busy. The place is of course aimed at the food market first, but at least you can feel like you can come in for a drink.
Beer; tap stuff with Pedigree, Bass and an OK BrewXI on handpull.
I don't mind Toby places as i feel they try to be fun, unlike Ember Inns and some others. I would go back, i find the consistent.
