The Cock Tavern is a smallish corner pub that is situated on Walthamstows market area,i love going into these type of pubs.
Once inside there is a single oblong shaped room with the bar to the mid right,the room is bare boarded,the seating settees to the front and normal tables and chairs elsewhere.
There were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of keg Courage Best which was drinkable.
Probably a bit rough and ready but i was happy enough having a drink here.

This pub has been refurbished and opened at the end of September. A week ago I stuck my head through the door to see if it was worth a go. I could see two handpumps only one of which had a clip on that appeared to be the very boring Well's Bombardier, so I moved on.

The local rag reports a major brawl outside tbe pub last Wednesday night. I don't know this pub at all, but I understand that it has a bad reputation along with the Antic owned Chequers further along the market.

There is still no sign of any work beginning in the Chequers.
