A picturesque pub on the picturesque village green, with the drinking section (including a sports TV) to one side and a larger dining area complete with a carvery to the other. It all a feels bit middle class and comfortable though, mainly due to the furnishings and the exposed stonework walls, which shouldn't be. TT Landlord and Pennine Millie George are the regular ales, with a guest Pennine on occasion according to the notice. Condition was good, as it should be with a GBG listing. Nice enough, but not worth going too far out of your way for.
