The Wellington is a long open plan pub with a short central wall that breaks the interior up a little. The bar counter is found in the left rear corner where standard keg can be purchased, the lone hand pump stood unused. The many televisions were all off, except one that was tuned into a music channel. A pool table and dartboard are found in the right rear corner where access can be gained to an enclosed smoking area out the back. During a recent Tuesday evening visit there were three trades at the bar and the two bar staff barely looked old enough to be out of school let alone serving in a pub, maybe I’m just getting really old. This is a basic pub that I would walk past if in the area again.

Much modernised pub with a huge bee / fly mural on the outside wall. It's all one room now, but with several different areas. There's a pool table and a dartboard to the right. There's also some stupid wallpaper with wine bottles on it, it's almost as bad as wallpaper with books on it. Several TV's around the place showing Sky Sports. There's one handpump and WhatPub says it serves an ever changing Blackedge beer, but it was unclipped on my visit. The barmaid said that the beer went a couple of days ago and the new barrel isn't ready. Simple solution is buy more beer. It's pretty poor not having beer on a Friday night. To be honest this pub is pretty good for Farnworth, it's average anywhere else though.
