Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Gunmakers Arms

Very traditional backstreet local, but one retaining an interesting façade and a decent amount of original tiling and coloured glazing too. Has also kept its two-bar layout, with a compact 'L'-shaped room at the front and an almost symmetrical but slightly less cramped lounge at the back. No real ale, unfortunately, so went for the Worthington Creamflow (£2.70, and served in the right glass).

This is a detached pub. It is Victorian and then stood on Wilton St; indeed, now the Union has gone, it is the last survivor of 5 pubs that stood on neighbouring street corners since the 30s. The pub is in red brick, with banks of black. The upper frontage has an orial window and stepped, slightly Dutch gables - one with a finial. The lower frontage is in red stone, with large rounded windows, white and elaborate pilasters, with white keystones. The corner entrance is still in use. The interior has a couple of rooms, sadly, the one was all dark. The main room is L-shaped and in a mix of white and red walls, with some fantastic glazed tiling. It has a white ceiling and carpet floor, as well as some coloured glass. The walls have 1950s Guinness posters on them, as well as an incongruous and massive 3D picture, which rather spoils the room. The TV had Watchdog on and there was no music. The service was friendly enough and there were a small, but mixed clientele. The seating is smaller benches - but in all the place looked tidy. Beer; no real ale, no MILD, just basic tap stuff, with Woodpecker Cider. I had a shandy and left. A pub that is worth visiting for the pub itself, if you are, like me, interested in that kind of thing. Nothing for the real ale drinker.
