Large multi-space suburban Greene King pub on the main road into Leeds from the north. Lots of wood in various shades, the counter appears to have come from at least three different pubs. Two sections carry eight hand pulls between them along with the usual kegs including five lagers. The beers come from smaller brewers apart from the Lord Darcy best bitter which is presumably Greene King IPA. The beer quality is excellent. The collection of pump clips behind the bar shows a constantly changing variety. The third part of the counter is a servery as food is a major consideration here. Modernish furniture in dark wood with flooring of lino and carpet, the lighting comes from a selection of fittings including a number of chandeliers. Downstairs in a basement level is a more basic seating area with a big screen and traditional pub tables and chairs, the area being enclosed in wood and glass. There is also a screen and machine discreetly tucked away by a side door on the ground floor. There is also free wi-fi from The Cloud. All in all quite a good local pub especially considering its ownership.
