Cask offering of GK IPA, Doom Bar, Abbot, Effingut Golden Ale, Clear Spot ESB from Burning Sky, Grapefruit Paradisi from Rudgate, Atlas from Lancaster, Cucumelon Sour from Adnam's, Chestnut Brown from Conwy and the Spiced Rum Bitter from Inis & Gunn. Typical keg offering of Carling, Stella, Coors, Guinness, Leffe Blonde, Angelo Poretti, K1664, Budweiser, Bud Light, Worthington CF, Original SB, Corona, Punk IPA, Stowford Press and Shipyard Pale Ale.
Large JDW by the Millennium stadium. Once had the pleasure of buying Barry John a pint here about 30 years ago in what was then my most frequented JDW in Cardiff. Carpeted in a Welsh dragon fire sort of way, bar counter against the left-hand wall on the Millennium stadium side. Loads of tightly packed regular tables and chairs, with some tall stools at ledges at various parts of the perimeter. Raised areas over on the right-hand side from same entrance and one at the back on the exit to Womanby St. Large screens were showing the teatime rugby on my visit and the commentary drowned out by the chatter of a packed venue (Timbo would be rubbing his hands). My pint of very decent festival ale was less than £2 a pint, in great nick - what's not to love, with tonnes of keg crap on offer at multiples of this price in many venues around here.

Medium-sized 'spoons facing the Principality Stadium so must get absolutely rammed when there's something on across the road. A bit quieter when I visited, but still busy on a Thursday afternoon. The seating and dining areas are on two main storeys, but the main ground-floor area has a split-level arrangement to one side and at the back. Some pavement tables can also be found at the front. Reasonable selection of cask ales from the two banks of five handpumps on the main bar, including Jaipur, Dark Side of the Mouse from Purple Mouse, Goffs Black Knight, Mad Squirrel Unity and Vale's Red Kite (£1.99).

Perfectly described below, situated on a street lined by rather grand Edwardian mansion blocks; we sat outside in the scorching sun, unusual for Cardiff.
Given the beer choice, this is one of the better venues in the city, sadly.
