Tib St Tavern has a bar counter on the right wall that faces some open plan seating. This isn’t the biggest bar, but there is more seating downstairs. Televisions are found throughout for airing live sports. Premium keg is available from the bar and I noted two hand pumps. One was drawing Hophurst Brewery’s Azacca and the other was being used to hold the blue roll. I struggled to get comfortable in here so don’t plan to return.

It's not great but it ain't the worst you'll ever be in. If there are more rooms than the one at the front then fair enough. However the one I was in is a fairly pleasant place which is up a few steps. 3 handpumps on the bar but only 2 on on this visit, OSB Exam being one and another I've forgotten. At least 4 tellies showing the cricket and dull Olympics nonsense on this visit.

After a refurbishment the former Bar Centro reopened as the Tib Street Tavern in May 2012. The layout is pretty much the same as Centro used to be, but it's been brought up market. Up stairs are a some comfy seats along the left hand side as you enter along with some dining tables and chairs. Downstairs has some horseshoe shaped comfortable seats. The downstairs area used to be a bit of a forgotten part of the bar, but they've made a good job of it now. There are 3 handpumps on the bar selling Hobgoblin and a couple of changing beers from the Marston's stable. The large screen was advertising Dunham Massey beers, but these may just be bottles as they weren't on the handpumps. We've called in twice recently and both the pints I've had were in good nick. It's now worth a visit again.
