The Goose looks like a pub from the outside, but inside it feels more like a late night bar. My visit was on a recent midweek evening so the disco lights were off, but there was some background music playing. High tables run across the front windows and a small stage sits on the right-hand wall with more high table behind in the right rear corner. The serving counter stocked with standard and premium keg alongside Neck Oil runs up the left-hand wall. This isn’t somewhere I’ll be rushing back to.

When this was Paddy's Goose it used to be a really good pub, sadly the management seem to have become very complacent. It's a one roomed pub with the bar to the left and the rest full of dining tables and chairs. Loads of pictures on the walls and some unusual orange tiles behind the bar. Two handpumps serving Robinsons Unicorn and Bombardier. The Baombardier was just about OK. I had to ask for a top up and when it came back with not much more in I had to ask again. The gay barman was crap, he was much too busy playing up to his mates to do his job properly. It's sad how low this one good pub has sunk.

A smallish pub. A sort of U-shaped pub with the bar to your left as you enter. 2 handpumps on the bar that dispensed neither of the Bombardier or Unicorn that was advertised on this visit.
