Visited 28/01/26. Visited previously as Baxter's Court for ticking visit on 12/03/18

Cask was a single hand pump dispensing Lacons Legacy blonde ale with, wait for it, nine other non-functioning handpump's. A likely outcome of the transition from JDW to non JDW but still better the venue persists. The keg survivorship was a more reasonable affair of Stella, Bud Light, Camden Hells, Mahou, the unfiltered Stella, Corona, Camden Pale, Kopparberg strawberry & lime plus their regular cider, Guinness, and the Lacons Lgr lager and their Encore session pale.

Same layout as in the JDW days. Tiled transition between outside and inside through the exterior enclosed area. Inside the venue is carpeted with regular tables and chairs plus booth tables down both sides. The bar counter is along the rear wall on a tiled skirt. No screens and a 70's pop soundtrack on my visit. The upstairs area was closed off in the new ownership era on my visit. Can’t say I would be rushing back.

By the numbers 2 floor spoons does the job as a pit stop on a crawl.

New build Wetherspoons with a curious open air courtyard behind the facade, then a large, rather dark interior split into areas by columns. Beyond that, a fairly average 'Spoons. with a couple of good local ales alongside the usual stuff.
