Generic town centre boozer. An open plan place with a small area to the left of the entrance that's more 'intimate' than the rest of the place. No real ale so devout Camra types may get the shivers.

This pub is back to being called The Kings after a period as Last Orders. It's quite smart inside. It's all one room like most Heywood pubs, but this one has at least got some separate areas. There's a DJ rig in one corner, so I expect it gets pretty noisy later on. On my visit on a Friday at about 8 it was reasonably busy with a few after work people still around and a few early birds for a Friday night out. There's no real ale of course but the price of a pint of lager was only £1.90. It will appeal to a certain type of punter, but it's one of the better pubs of its type in Heywood.
